Modified Nationals for the first time will have a Test Track for you to compete against the clock.

Drivers compete on courses marked out by plastic pylons or cones. They will have three attempts each to get around the course in the fastest time.  The driver with the lowest accumulated time is the winner – although penalties are incurred for hitting cones, failing to stop on a line, or for taking the wrong route (or going the wrong side of a cone).

If you want to bring along a passenger, no problem!!

Limited Track Time available, all spaces booked on a first come basis.

The Autotest track will run with 6 drivers per hour from 10am till 4pm each day you will be issued a time with your Circuit Voucher.  This will be emailed to you before the show.

All you need to do is arrive at the designated area 15 mins before your allocated time slot with your car, circuit voucher and driving licence.

dBDrag UK is running their competition Modified Nationals and ANYONE can enter!

dBDrag UK offers two formats of competition:

dBDrag Racing
This is where it all started, the competition is a head to head with 30 seconds to get the maximum SPL out of your system. You can either take part in the competition or simply have your system tested to see just how loud it will go. There are a number of classes, so you don’t have to worry about your car fitting in, everything is welcome!

Bass Race
This is an extremely fun competition format with a class for every system. The playing field in this class is so level that 1st timers have beaten world class competitors, it’s all about control not the system!

Which ever you choose to do, the dBDrag UK team are on hand to help you and take you through the measuring process. It’s not all about competition though, world class competitors are on hand to offer advice and assistance throughout the weekend. And when they aren’t giving advice, you can see top flight dBDrag cars creating serious Sound Pressure Levels!

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Dyno runs charged at a reduced fee of £40 on the day, Sat or Sun

The Dyno Dynamics chassis dynamometer is quickly setting the bench mark for rolling roads and respected power figures. Due to the corruption of many dyno operators Dyno Dynamics do not use the old and out of date method of converting wheel horse power to fly wheel power by having a coast down cycle, instead they use over 40 years of test data to accurately plot the true horse power. This method is quickly becoming the industry standard and the only method that cannot be manipulated in any way.  

Shoot out mode.

Dyno dynamics have developed a shoot out mode on all their rolling roads. This is a feature that enables the dyno to be locked down so all cars can be tested without any operator input so you know they are tested fairly and accurately. So next time you question the power output of your car, don’t question Dyno Dynamics and their operators, question the accuracy of your engine tuner and previous dyno operator.

After overwhelming success over the last 9 years once again Modified Nationals are searching for a babe to take the prestigious title of Miss Modified Nationals 2012.

Hosted on the Live Stage both Saturday and Sunday, with the final taking place Sunday June 3rd

This year the comp has been re-skinned and will be bigger than ever before.  The competition will run across the weekend of Modified Nationals (June 1 – 3) in front of an audience of 23,000 people. The girls will enter before the event with limited places on the day to ensure a packed stage of bikini clad babes.

In a tried and tested formula each girl will be asked to go round the show (wearing the coveted red sash) to get the visitors to text vote for her. The top 20 girls with the most votes will then go on stage and try to be one of the lucky ten to go through to Sundays final. Last year over 5000 text votes sent 20 lucky ladies to the final.

There will be a similar heat on the Sunday, before the top 20 return to the stage in the afternoon for the final. Who will be crowned this year’s winner? The winner will be chosen by three judges and based on crowd reaction.

The winner will receive £250 prize money

How to enter
Now is the time to really see if you’ve got what it takes to win the Miss Modified Nationals 2012 crown. Entry couldn’t be easier.

Simply send your details to admin@modifiednationals.co.uk with your name, height, contact details and no more than two pictures of yourself.  All selected entries will then need to turn up to Modified Nationals with their finest (non-see thru) bikini and heels and get ready to dazzle our judges. With top prizes on offer for the winner it has got to be worth a shot!

On Saturday Night in the After Dark Entertainment area we will be turning over an area to the Best Lit Car Display, so if you have a car with great lighting that you want to show off  After Dark all you need to do is Email us and let us know you would like to show your car.  Its just for fun for you to show off your lighting.

The display will take place between 9pm and 10pm Saturday night (After it gets dark).

The meeting place is the barrier (gate 2) near the Event office at 7pm, once all those who have shown an interest are lined up you will be escorted in to place by our staff and escorted off again approx 10.30pm.

What is ‘Built not bought’ Install competition?

‘Built not bought’ is a competition created to help encourage beginners and enthusiasts to self-build an install or show off a build that you have already completed

How it Works

Build an install for your car, Bring it to Modified Nationals 2012 , Get Judged, Drive home with the Money.

Categories:   There are no categories …… when being judged you will be asked What you were trying to create i.e. Bass Monster, A Car park/Cruise Blaster, A Full-on Show Car look, A “Sound Quality” Build, A Multimedia Explosion Showcar etc etc. and you will be judged on how well we feel your goal has been achieved.

Design & Layout:

When judging. Does the system have proper power distribution and fusing? Does the system exhibit good ease of use, are all the components easily accessible, etc?

Install Quality:

Is the system going to fall apart? Are there wires loose or hanging about? Does the system have dangling wires or exposed copper? Is there attention to detail? Does the system interfere with the normal use of the vehicle? These are some of the things you should look for when scoring on installation quality.

All components of the system should be properly fixed there should not be any risk to travel in the car.

Install Creativity:

Does the install exhibit unique creativity such as custom fiberglassing, speaker pods, door panels, and custom sub box design?

Questions

Will I be judged on the Quality or make of Equipment?

No, the make of the equipment used is entirely up to your brand preference and budget.

Will I get more points for having more Subs Amps, Multimedia etc?

No You will be judged on what you are trying to achive if you are trying to build a Bass monster then you would not loose points for not having screens all over the boot, if you be clever with the multimedia then you would  not be judged for not having a dozen 12” Subs

Can I have any professional help?

Yes if you are not confident about wiring your build you will not lose points for having wiring checked or fitted by an auto electrician ,you will also not loose points for having your install painted by a body shop but will get bonus points if you have been able to paint it yourself.

How can I enter?

Simply Email us you name address and car details and a before photo if possible.  Then simply keep us updated as you go along with photos or a short email.

Receipts, build photos and information on how your build was created will be required to authenticate your work.

Bring your car to Modified Nationals 2012 judging will be done on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of June and the winners presented on Sunday afternoon

AUTOGLYM ULTIMATE SHOW CAR COMPETITION

Show Cars will be inside the Exhibition Centre.

To enter the Ultimate Show Car  Competition just  email us for an application form or download one below to print off.  Please include your name and Address if requesting one by email.

The top 25 cars will get FREE entry to the show by way of a voucher, you can collect your refund at the show.

All trophy winners will each receive an Autoglym Valet bag packed full of products.

Please send good quality photos, (we will return them after the show if you want them back.) you can do this by post with your booking form or separate by email

The top 25 will be chosen from the photos you send in, make sure they show you car at its best.  We are sorry but we can not look cars up on web sites.  We will let you know the outcome of the selection process aprox 2 weeks before the show by letter.

If you dont want to enter the competition but still want to show your car there will be a drive in show car area just for you. 

If you are a new or small club and dont have 5 cars to display, this is the area for you………

Drive-in show cars will be on display outside the exhibition hall ‘Centre stage’  on the Plaza.  A great position to get your car noticed!  

You can show your car for the weekend or just a single day.

All cars must be in place by 9am each day.
